This is an awesome cover of Folsom Prison (Johnny Cash) done by Brandi Carlile. The sound is great! The video not so great, pretty jumpy. This was taken with my camera's video function which leaves a lot to be desired. Also I could not keep my leg from bouncing to this great tune! So it's a little jumpy. This was a really small venue about 300 people total, one of those people was American Idol runner up David Archuleta, he was standing about 10 feet behind us the whole time. Anyway enjoy this great cover!

The Larsons - A Cartoon by Rory Boyer |

This is a video I made for my sisters family for christams one year. The kids got to star in their own cartoon and keep the dvd. I also made them pillow case covers and tee shirts. It was a very good surprise (I believe). The cartoon it's self was compiled completely out of gif animations made in Adobe Photoshop then exported into .Mov and then imported into Vegas Video. Each clip was about 6 seconds long and took at LEAST 5 minutes to make (thats if all the pictures were already created). I then recorded all the voices using Acid recording software, then placed them into Vegas. Then I added a music soundtrack to give it a more "tv episode" quality. This process was a completely retarded way to make a cartoon. I later found that "Flash" animation would have worked so much better and I would have been able to use the same animations over and over (example someone walking) then I could have simply replaced the background. Anyway this entire cartoon took well over 3 months to produce with my process. I estimated spending about 10-20 hours a week. So at this time a sequel is NOT in the works =) Even though I would love to add Brooklyn to this show!

In case you were not able to catch my brief national television appreance here it is... I love how the announcer says a "Certain Coolness" and it shows me with my thumbs up.
