Last night I went to see "Shrek the Musical" - it was pretty cool my seats were in the Rear Mezzanine, after watching the play you really want to see it in the Orchestra level. They have an amazing stage that is contently moving and changing. So it would be more magical if you were eye level. When you are above you can somewhat see how it is done and being me, I always try to figure out how something is done (hence why I hate watching magic shows).  I may try and go see this again at a low level... if I have time! There are still many shows I want to see!

Below is a TV Spot for the play.

Today I went to my 2nd show on Broadway. I got tickets to see "Monty Python Spamalot".

Spamalot Poster

This play was really a mash up of all the Monty Python movies. So it was entertaining but easy to predict etc. "We are the knights that say....", "Holy hand grenade" etc etc...

The "star" of the show was Clay Aiken, who seemed to have gained some wieght since his Idol days or it could have been the wardrobe or the tiny little dancers that would prance around him on stage.

I think he kinda looks like a lepperchaun he may do really good in the "Alice In Wonderland" movie!

Today I scored a ticket to my first real Broadway Show! I found two tickets to "All My Sons" on Craiglist. I only needed one, so I told them if they couldn't find a buyer I would go. Needless to say 30 minutes before the show I ran from Saks on 5th Ave to 45th and Broadway. I made it and enjoyed seeing the show for 57 bucks. They wanted 60 but I forgot I bought some lunch so I did not have the full 60.

Starring...

  • John Lithgow - "Joe Keller"
  • Dianne Wiest - "Kate Keller" (She was not at my performance, I saw Lizbeth Mackay. Who did awesome!)
  • Patrick Wilson - "Chris Keller"
  • Katie Holmes - "Ann Deever"

It was really awesome to watch a play that did not have retarded high school kids starrying. You could tell that John Lithgow and Katie Holmes are professionals simply because I forgot they were famous.

Katie Holmes did not where shoes almost the entire time and you know what? She has big feet, you dont see that in her movies. They are not ugly, just big.

I was going to copy the entire synopsis of the show and thought I would just post the link instead CLICK HERE to read more about the show.
