So Wednesday I went to see August: Osage County on Broadway. I purchased tickets day of show from TKTS and go 4th Row Center Orch, which a pretty damn good seats.

This show was hilarious! It was like watching 6 episodes in a row of your favorite dysfunctional family sitcom.  Speaking of which the mom from "Rosanne" was the mom in this show, otherwise known as Estelle Parsons. The whole cast was great. I guess this is going to be made into a movie set for release 2011.

Will Ferrell: Your Welcome America PlayBill

So I went to see Will Ferrell on Broadway in his one man show "You're Welcome America. A Final Night with George W. Bush". I went on January 28th, 2009 at 8pm.

The show was about 2 hours with NO intermission. Will did take a few breaks. He left the stage to change clothes etc and they had a "secret service" guy who guarded the stage and would dance to some hip hop.

The show was pretty funny, I mean it is Will playing Bush. It was a SNL skit that lasted 2 hours, but it was about Bush so there was plenty of content.

He kept referring to Obama as "That Tiger Woods fella".

I am betting that this will be released on DVD... I hope =)

Well we got tickets to the famous show "Equus" this is the show with Daniel Radcliffe (aka Harry Potter). Why is it so famous? Cause he does a "nude" scene. Everyone fails to mention that there is also an actress on stage with him, who is also nude and attractive as well. So that was a bonus. =)

This play was very "artsy" and weird. The plot is very out there, here is the synopsis from the official website

"Alan Strang (Daniel Radcliffe) seems a normal, obedient 17-year old with a passion for horses. Then one night he blinds six horses with a hoof pick. What drove him to it? His life seems routine, his family loving, his pursuits harmless and yet he has been placed under psychiatric surveillance - an unresponsive patient who is woken each night by terrible nightmares. Only psychiatrist Martin Dysart (Richard Griffiths) seems able to grasp the answer to this psychological puzzle."

The play was ok, Daniel did a great job it took about 30-60 minutes to totally forget him as "Harry Potter" and start seeing him as "Alan Strang". Richard Griffiths (Uncle Vernon from the Harry Potter films) was amazing as well. Would I see it again? Nope to many other great shows out there I want to see!

Now for some Q and A that I keep getting about this play

Q: Was he really naked?
A: Yes

Q: Was he really completely nude?
A: Yes

Q: Could you see everything?
A: Yes

Q: How was Harry's "Wand"?
A: Nothing like a horse. Honestly it's not like he came out and did "the windmill" it was a play with an "almost" sex scene and then got really dramatic with a lot of crying, screaming curling up etc. Think the ending to Planet of the Apes, yelling at the sky etc...

Q: Why did you go to that play?
A: I'm trying to see as many plays as possible. It's fun when you recognize the actors from movies etc. Tahnie loves the Harry Potter films =)

Tahnie and I went to see "Avenue Q" on Broadway on Monday 12/8/2008. I was way excited to actually go to a play with my girlfriend and not by myself or coworkers.

This show is awesomely funny! It's reminds me of Sesame Street rewritten by the creators of South Park. So that being said, yes it was crued humor. They had some great songs like "The Internet is for Porn" and "Everyone's a bit Racist". I downloaded the soundtrack and have since listened to it a couple of times already. I would suggest you do the same (after you see the play). I actually think I would go see this one again if I get the chance.
